I agree its a little pricey but it did end up saving me a lot of time making the patch repair rather then replacing the panel. The end product didn't end up being as smooth as I wanted it to be but when you look at fence from two feet or more away you can't tell there was ever a hole there. The only thing was the sanding each layer. The patch kit did a great job repairing the hole. I had a baseball size hole in my fence (from my son throwing a baseball through it!).

If you take your time and prep the repair area correctly, you will be very satisfied with the results. I should mention that it did take two repair kits, (very large area with both sides of the rail broken) mainly because I really wanted this repair to be flawless. The repaired areas are not noticeable at all, even if you are looking right at it up close.
